Some contractors ask about AASHTO or BS3262, while others care more about sample testing, flow, drying time, and repeat-order consistency. The yellow material was used for truck movement lines, turning guidance, and warning zones inside an industrial access road. One section was not new asphalt. It was an old road with faded markings and a polished surface from traffic. The contractor applied primer before the new thermoplastic line, and the bonding result was much better. For repainting work in UAE, primer can save a lot of trouble compared with applying directly on aged pavement.

For a higher-traffic road section, we chose a formula with premixed glass beads instead of relying only on drop-on beads. Surface beads gave good reflection at the beginning, but the project owner also cared about night visibility after several months. Higher internal bead content made more sense for that requirement.

The paint itself was stable, but the operator still had to control the kettle temperature carefully. When the heating was too aggressive, the line finish was not as smooth. After adjusting the temperature and cleaning the surface again, the white line edge became much cleaner.
