This was not a fresh asphalt job. The road already had faded markings and a layer of fine dust from daily traffic. The contractor cleaned the surface first and used primer before applying Tianhua Traffic thermoplastic paint. That extra step made the white line bond much better to the old pavement. On this kind of road, applying hot-melt paint directly would have been risky.

For a private parking area, the owner mainly wanted clean white and yellow lines with good initial reflection. We did not choose a high premixed glass bead formula. The 0% internal bead option with drop-on glass beads was enough for the early inspection and helped keep the budget under control.

Our original plan was based on about 25 tons in one 20ft container. Tianhua helped coordinate with the freight forwarder and checked the loading arrangement carefully. In the end, the container was arranged for 27 tons under a suitable loading plan. That reduced the freight cost per ton and made the full-container order more worthwhile for us.

The material itself melted normally, but the first trial section did not look as clean as expected. Wind brought dust back onto the pavement before marking. After the team cleaned again and controlled the heating temperature more carefully, the line edge became smoother. In Turkmenistan, surface preparation is not a small detail.

The yellow paint was used for truck guidance, warning areas, and turning lines near an industrial yard. The buyer cared more about thickness and wear resistance than color alone. With proper bead spreading and enough application thickness, the finished marking looked much stronger than ordinary cold road paint.

For an intercity road section, the requirement was different from a parking project. The owner wanted the marking to remain reflective after several months of traffic wear. In that case, premixed glass beads made more sense because drop-on beads mainly help the first reflective result, while internal beads support longer-term visibility.

At the beginning, we only compared the paint price per ton. Later, the more important question became the route: Caspian port handling, inland trucking, warehouse unloading, and delivery to the project area. For Turkmenistan, a low factory price does not mean much unless the landed cost is clear.
