This was not a new road project. The old asphalt already had faded markings and some polished areas from traffic. The first thing the contractor did was clean the surface and brush primer before applying the thermoplastic paint. That step made the new white line bond much better. Without primer, I think the edge would not have stayed as clean on this kind of old pavement.

We used the white material for pedestrian crossings and short safety markings near a school area. The work was done in sections, so fast drying helped a lot. The line looked clear after cooling, and the drop-on beads improved visibility in the evening.

The product price looked fine, but the real cost was clearer only after checking the Yangon-area delivery plan. Port choice, warehouse location, unloading, and local trucking all changed the final budget. For Myanmar buyers, I would not compare only the factory price. The landed cost is more useful.

For a public road section, the requirement was different. The owner cared about night visibility after months of traffic, not only the first few weeks. In that case, premixed glass beads made more sense. Drop-on beads helped at the beginning, but internal beads are more useful when the surface starts wearing down.

The bags stayed in storage for some time before the project started. During the rainy season, moisture control was important, so we kept them off the floor and away from open doors. The material melted normally during application. For Myanmar distributors, storage condition should not be ignored.

For a small parking and access road job, we did not choose a high premixed glass bead formula. The client mainly wanted the line to look bright and reflective during the first inspection period. We used a 0% internal bead formula with drop-on glass beads, and it helped control the cost without affecting the early reflective appearance.

The paint was not the problem; the road condition was. After rain, the pavement looked almost dry, but moisture was still there. The team waited longer, cleaned the surface again, and then applied the marking. For Myanmar road projects, choosing the right weather window is just as important as choosing the paint.

Some contractors asked us for cheaper paint for private parking jobs, while road maintenance buyers asked more about long-term reflectivity and wear resistance. The useful part of Tianhua Traffic’s offer is that the glass bead content and formula can be discussed according to the actual project. Selling one fixed formula to every customer would not work well in Myanmar.
