For a small municipal marking job, we planned to start after lunch, but the pavement still had moisture from earlier rain. From a distance it looked dry. Up close, it was not ready. We waited, cleaned again, and marked later. The second section looked much better. In Cuba’s humid weather, rushing the road surface is a bigger risk than waiting a few more hours.

For an airport access road, the buyer did not want markings that looked good only on the first night. We discussed premixed glass beads because traffic wear and rain would reduce surface beads over time. Drop-on beads gave the first reflective effect, but internal beads were the reason we felt safer about longer-term night visibility.

I am looking for cooperation with contractors working on airport access roads, port yards, hotel parking areas, pedestrian crossings, and city repainting projects in Cuba or nearby Caribbean markets. My experience is mostly hands-on: push machine work, hand marking around arrows and crossings, setting up equipment, checking line width, adjusting bead spread, and helping the crew avoid adhesion problems on old or damp pavement. I would prefer a team that values surface preparation and clean line edges, not only fast daily output.

The white thermoplastic paint itself was easy to apply, but the old road surface was not easy. The previous marking had not fully disappeared; it was faded, dusty, and smooth in the wheel-track areas. We cleaned the asphalt and used primer before applying Tianhua Traffic material. The new line held better at the edges, which is where we usually see problems first on repainting jobs.

Our first quotation sheet used a conservative container loading number because we were not sure about the final packing method. Tianhua reviewed the bag stacking, whether pallets were needed, and the forwarder’s loading limits with us. After that check, the 20ft container was planned at 27 tons instead of the lower figure we first used. For a shipment through Mariel, this changed our freight-per-ton calculation and made our local resale price easier to control.
